What is fire protection and life safety system commissioning?
Fire and life safety system commissioning is the process by which an installed system is thoroughly tested to ensure optimised operational performance which meets not only the project specifications but also all legal requirements. It is also the base-line from which future maintenance and testing is measured.
However, effective, gold-standard commissioning should extend way beyond just system testing upon installation. It should also encompass relevant systems design, installation, and maintenance planning. The commissioning process ensures that the system meets the needs of the client, has been de-bugged and thoroughly tested and all documentation and certification has been provided.

Our engineers are also happy to provide system training and a manual walk-thru so that your on-site team feel comfortable with the operating and functionality of the system.
What should you expect from your engineer?

They are familiar with system complexities and are able to optimise the functionality of your system above and beyond the mandatory testing requirements. Their training and breadth of experience allows them to provide verification that your system meets the performance criteria laid out in the original design. All system commissioning is compliant with British Standard BS5839-1. Your system will be fully certificated and documented.
