Joining Forces to Make a Difference: How Coffee Mornings and a Day on the Greens are Bringing the Defensor Team Together to Support Macmillan’s Vital Work.
Defensor Life Safety is excited to participate in this year’s Macmillan Coffee Morning on Friday, September 27th. Our Managing Director, Helen, chose to raise money for Macmillan because, like many others, cancer has deeply affected her life. Macmillan played a pivotal role in supporting her family, providing exceptional care when she was looking after her mother at home during the final stages of cancer.
The nurses’ compassion and professionalism made an immeasurable difference during such a difficult time. Macmillan continues to provide unmatched care for patients while helping families navigate the challenges of a difficult journey through cancer treatment and recovery.
Since 1990, the Macmillan Coffee Morning has brought together millions of people across the UK to have fun and raise money for an important cause. The concept is simple: guests gather over coffee and donate the cost of their drink to Macmillan. The idea was so effective that it quickly became a nationwide event. In 2023, the Coffee Morning raised over £18 million, and we’re proud to be part of this year’s effort, hoping to contribute as much as we can to this incredible cause.
In addition to the Coffee Morning, Defensor will be hitting the golf course to further support Macmillan on Saturday, September 21st. This event isn’t just about raising funds; it’s also about bringing people together and strengthening our team bonds. Golfers and non-golfers alike will pair up at Stoneleigh Deer Park in Coventry to enjoy a day filled with laughter, fun, and friendly competition. It’s a fantastic opportunity for Defensor employees to come together and contribute to a worthy cause.
