The Cornucopia Fundraiser will be a night to remember, with the grandeur of the Brighton Dome’s Corn Exchange providing the perfect setting for a delectable three-course meal. The evening will feature a line-up of entertainment from Brighton Dome and Brighton Festival artists, as well as live performances from Create Music ensembles, including the Youth Big Band.
Hosted by the award-winning performer Kit Green, the evening will also feature comedy from Spencer Jones and several more surprise acts. Importantly, every pound spent on tickets will be doubled through match-funding by local donors, amplifying the impact of your support. Tickets start from £108.00, with all proceeds going towards preserving and enhancing Brighton Dome and Brighton Festival’s efforts in the community, particularly in the realm of arts and music education.
Brighton Dome has a rich history dating back over 200 years. Originally built as stables in 1803 for George, Prince of Wales (later George IV), the Dome was designed by the renowned architect William Porden to serve as part of the Royal Pavilion estate. Over the centuries, it has evolved from royal stables to a central hub for arts and culture in Brighton.
Throughout its history, Brighton Dome has hosted some of the world’s most celebrated artists, from ABBA to David Bowie, and served as an important gathering space for social movements, including the Women’s Social and Political Union, which saw figures like Emmeline Pankhurst and Millicent Fawcett speak within its walls.
Today, the Brighton Dome remains a key charity, dedicated to offering vibrant cultural experiences while also promoting community participation projects and music education programs across the region.
